Jetstar increases cabin baggage allowance to 10kg

Jetstar passengers can now bring 10kg of luggage on board in their carry in. But there’s a catch.

You guessed it, you have to pay for it.

The additional 3kg is available from $13 on Starter Fares.

“Customers told us that they would like the option to carry more on board and so we are pleased to be able to offer them the option to purchase an extra three kilos,” Jetstar Group Chief Customer Officer, Catriona Larritt says.

“The extra carry-on allowance is particularly useful for those travelling with a laptop or camera bag or those travelling on short trips with an overnight bag who are after a quick departure from the airport without a wait at the baggage carousel.”

Passengers who don’t pay the Jetstar baggage limit fee will still be limited to 7kg of carry on. The weight can be split between two items.
