Why do you love travel?
Travel allows you to get outside your bubble. It makes you realise there are other ways to do things, and that’s OK. Plus, I am a huge fan of skiing and for the best powder - you need to head overseas.

What's the most interesting trip you've taken & why?
It’s really hard to pick one trip. Christmas snowboarding in Bulgaria, where wild dogs would chase you down the slope and the mafia ran the village, was pretty exciting. My most memorable trip would have to be when my husband asked me to marry him in Paris.

Who do you travel with?
I mostly travel with my husband and two children but I also do loads of multi-family trips and I sometimes sneak away with girlfriends. Plus, I travel a lot for work.

Three things or places you'd recommend for families visiting Australia
My old hometown of Sawtell on the North Coast of NSW is one of my favourite places in the world to relax. It’s right on the beach, has a cute old cinema and a family-friendly pub.

You can’t beat Sydney Harbour for that stereotypical Australian view. Cruise around on a ferry, head to Taronga Zoo and eat fish and chips on the beach in Manly.

The Great Barrier Reef is also a must-see. I love watching the kids' faces as they discover new animals and corals under the surface of the water.

What has been your favourite family holiday experience?
Nozawa Onsen, Japan in winter. Nothing can beat the snow, the culture and the incredible food. The ski runs are long and fun with great kickers and rollers that kids really enjoy. You can stay in traditional ryokan hotels with futons on the floor and eat sushi and dumplings every day. My kids ask to go back every year. If only we could!

How many countries you've visited?
