Discover the best of Australia in our Families of Australia Web Series. Over the last 8 months we’ve explored 20 different regions around the country, with 18 unique families, in an effort to find and share the very best things to see and do for families of Australia.
Every second Thursday, a new episode is added to our Youtube channel covering new sights and adventures tried and tested by local families. Mums, Dads and kids offer their tips and tricks on the best places to go, to help you plan awesome weekend outings and mini-breaks with your family.
In the most recent instalment all about the Great Outdoors, travel alongside the Glossops as they take the Rottnest Express out to bike ride and play “spot the quokka” on Rottnest Island. Follow the Canberra-based Mitchell family as they visit the National Arboretum and Floriade flower festival.
The Solimans ventured out to Tangalooma Island. “The dolphin feeding for me was probably the highlight of the day,” says Mum, Jacqui. “I’ve always wanted to see a dolphin up close. They come and brush up against your legs and it is amazing.”
Zarlia found that there were “so many natural attractions” when she visited Magnetic Island with her Mum. Her favourites were the rock wallabies in Geoffrey Bay.
