One of Paris’ largest parks and the site of many of the city’s cultural venues including the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie and the Conservatoire de Paris, Parc de la Villette is a must-visit for families. With ten themed gardens to explore, such as the Jardin du Dragon (Garden of the Dragon) and a garden constructed entirely from bamboo, as well as museums, theatres and spaces to play, there is plenty to do. To avoid getting lost, visitors should keep their eyes peeled for the interesting structures known as Follies located in different key positions around the park. There are around thirty-five different Follies to discover making them not just a useful navigational tool for visitors exploring, but also one of the park’s most iconic sights.
