Overview

Canberra is home to one of three of NASAs Deep Space Network 34m Beam Wave Guide antenna ‘dishes’.  The other two are in Spain and the United States.  The Deep Space Network
is an international network of antennas that support interplanetary space missions and radio and radar astronomy observations as we explore our Solar System and the Universe. The tracking station is located in the Tidbinbilla valley just outside Canberra and is open to the public. For families with space and science loving kids, this is a great, free family activity in Canberra.
